Christmas Eve & Christmas Day Harlequins

This year Christmas the "Bunny Stork" was very good to Jessica. She had a litter of 10 Harlequins born on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day she had a litter of 2 born. Both litters are by the same sire and unrelated moms.

First Snow Fall of the New Year

Here are a few photos of the Beautiful Snow. School and most business in the area were closed today. The freezing temperature caused the roads to freeze over night, which made the roads hazards for those who had to venture out in the cold. Our back road did not get plowed until late this evening. Surprising since we have many fire fighter who live down our road. The current temperature is 11 degrees out side. Thank goodness our critters are housed in our garage where it is insulated and nice and warm and protected from the cold wind.

Crazy Weather

Don't get me wrong I do not mind the weather being warm enough for me to be able to open up the windows in the house. Today is 12/20/13 and it's roughly 63 degrees out. Tomorrow its supposed to be up to 70, then 75 on Sunday than drop down into the 40's on Tuesday. No wonder so many people in Delaware are sick.

Last week we had snow flurries, freezing rain and lots of black ice out on the roads.

I prefer cold weather only because it helps my angoras in show coat produced a heavier, thicker coat of wool.

Here's to wishful thinking of a "White Christmas." Well if it does not snow on Christmas, I'd like to put my order in now for it to snow on my anniversary on 12/29, lol!

Briar is my nephew who is 4 years old. Jessica is Briar's cousin who is 13 years old. Both Briar and Jessica each have there very own English Angora thanks to EagleCreek's Rabbitry in Maryland. Briar's bunny is named Frizzle and  Jessica's bunny is named Frazzle both bunnies are siblings.
